Colossians 2:6-7: “ 6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your
lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and
overflowing with thankfulness.”
Ask to receive Christ and continue to walk in him
Most of us, When we’re at that point where we really think we have it together, “Boy you don’t!”
Belief through experience:
Have you ever knew something was missing, searched and searched in many different ways, and
through everything you tried you still knew something was missing?
“I did, until finally got on my knees and surrendered to Christ. Whatever it means just OPEN MY HEART

The Honeymoon Stage: After giving your life to Christ there’s a honeymoon stage where you start
seeing things differently. Life is great. You begin to notice and appreciate God’s creations for what they
are like the sun, the trees, etc.
Reality sets in: in a Christian walk as a walk with anything. Like a rollercoaster your walk with be full of
Ups and Downs.
Plateau: At a point you may come to a plateau during your walk where you’re not making any further
spiritual growth. You become comfortable which pulls you away from doing more.
Whatever you pray according to God’s will if you believe that it’ll happen it’ll happen.
Going through the process
“I just want to be totally surrendered “
Crash: This is a necessary part of the walk… Crash, or Hit rock bottom. Come to this lake, the “shadow
of death”. This is where you just “Don’t care”
In this shadow you come face to face with who you really are.
God allows us to see our dark side, to fall, to see our behavior..
People at the top of this “rollercoaster” don’t want can’t bear to see who they really are. God lets you
fall to put you in the position to see the truth.
I don’t see this a being exclusive, if you want to experience God you will see that “shadow of death” .
You will come face to face with Jesus and he will puts you in the position to see yourself for who you
really are as a person.
When you come to that place say I agree. I understand to the depth at which you’ve saved me. When I
thought I was gone you were still there. Why God? Why do you even love me? “ Because you’re my
sons and daughters.”
Get in the Boat:. To cross this shadow, this river, this pit of death, you need to get in the boat. During
this time it may seem like you keep going two steps backward, this is ok as long as you’re trying to make
three steps forward. Jesus is walking on the water next to us in the boat until one day..
Get out of the Boat and walk with Him
Don’t worry about tomorrow neither fret over yesterday.
For me to die is gain, but for you I’ll stay.
To stay or to remain is a good thing. But if I die now I’m good.
There is a security in your foundation in the spiritual walk with Jesus. When I’m good to go I need to see
reason to stay for my Brothers and sisters and You’ll CONTINUE to grow even after you’ve plateaued.
My God is big enough to get me to the other side.
No matter what I’m going through God will get me there.
“Ride, to the other side”
Jesus is on the water getting you through to the other side.
