~ Happy Memorial Day ~
What’s a memorial? A remembrance. What word do you see a memorial? It brings a memory. A
memorial is an established memory.
On Memorial Day we celebrate the blood that was paid for our Freedom. There is always a cost to be
free. Our freedom in God’s walk was paid through His son on the cross.
Freedom has to be maintained, as believers our faith as to be maintained otherwise we’ll lose it. Our
soldiers fighting for our freedom stood for us and our freedom, sacrificed for our freedom. So that you
or I don’t have to live in tyranny or fear.
Slowly our freedoms are being eroded. Like a frog in the water, slowly rising as it loses its temperature
until it dies.
We’re so distracted. One of Satan’s way of getting to us is to distract us.
Distractions keep us from assembling together and keep us from maintaining our faith to keep our
freedom.
Why are basketball, sports, work, etc. on Sunday; all great socially excepted things but on God’s day of
rest and for worshiping him? All created and worked into today’s society as normal distraction towards
believers
Such things keep kids towards growing up and understanding why going to church is important.
So many distractions to where our voices have been diminished and we lose our freedom. Some
churches are real big and have great ministries but a lot of the time it’s just a good show where it’s
difficult to get Fed the word of Christ.
“ In the last days men will grow Cold in their love for God, Will become lovers of pleasure rather than
lovers of God. “
When talking to a believer; Where do you stand? Where are you in your walk? Give words of
encouragement, we all need them.
When you are at the point struggling, bombarded by Satan, figuring it’s not worth it. Feel like jumping
off the porch face first onto cement. Think and listen, Thank the lord and be reminded to come
together as believers to encourage one another and helping each other to stand. God puts these things
in our lives, makes us want to throw in the towel, then God shows you to keep you going and make you
stronger.
Sometimes God puts a little word into our hearts to share as encouragement towards others.
Many believers don’t vote speak or up keep, things to themselves. Some of us are going to go watch a
parade this memorial day week. The reason we’re able to do that is for the men who died for our
Freedom. Coming together is a burden to many. What will you do when it’s gone? When our freedom
is gone and we don’t have the right to assemble. You’re hated. “ If they hated me they’re going to hate
you” Coming closer and closer. Watch the news . NSA building world’s largest data base. This is being
set up so the government will know everything about you. This is total surveillance. This is our freedom
being taken away!
Are we slowly moving towards that one world system that the end of times speaks of? WHERE WILL
YOU STAND WHEN THAT HAPPENS? We’re slowly becoming distracted and not standing together as
our Freedom slowly fades.
What do you stand for at your work? At home? What do you stand for and what do you think you stand
for. Who are you? Do you realize people are talking and thinking about you. If you don’t know what
you stand for ask what they say about you and the God you serve. People are watching, testing, talking
about you. People tempt you and try to get you to fall whether they are conscious of it or not. Some
people are testing you to find out if it’s real, if you’re real and what you stand for or if you’ll fall.
How are you affecting the sphere of influence around you. Are people positively influenced of do they
just say you’re a hypocrite
Colossians 1: 9-12 ; … ask that you be filled with knowledge of his will, are you walking in a way that is
worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in his work. . ( ~ paraphrase )

Remember the cost that was paid for our Freedom
The men who’ve died
What Christ has done.
If you REALLY know who you are in Christ You are Free and nobody can take that away.
